Courtesy Flag – Hong Kong 18 x 27in
Made from UV protective nylon, this courtesy flag suits small to medium sailing vessels wishing to show their respect when entering Hong Kong waters. The flag has the white Bauhinia sewn onto the red field rather than just simplly printed on. Finished with hems heading rope and toggle.
We use a local manufacturer for these flags and can have them made to any size needed as well as most countries. A China courtesy flag is also available in the same size. We also offer code flags and other signalling items.

What is a Courtesy Flag?
A nation’s courtesy flag should be flown by all vessels when entering a nation’s territorial waters for the first time (and for the duration of the stay in that country’s territorial waters).
The flag should be flown from the starboard spreader in a position above any other flag. Motor vessels that do not have a dedicated signal halyard should fly the flag from a prominent position instead (e.g. the VHF aerial).
The flag should be in a good state and of reasonable size as some officials take offense at yachts that fly a torn or tiny flag.
