Allen Brothers

Blocks, Deck Hardware and Specialised Dinghy Fittings

Allen logoAllen Brothers Ltd. has evolved over the last 60 years into a modern hi-tech company. Although they haven’t strayed far from the original engineering roots, Allen are now much more than a manufacturer.

It was in 1956 that the company formed their dinghy fittings enterprise into a company and shortly after that Beecher Moore persuaded them to supply Jack Holt’s boat-building business with their innovative new products. So began the long and fruitful partnership they named Holt-Allen.

Within a few years Allen Brothers had increased their resources to include their own design of injection moulding machines, metal press and punch machines and had increased their product range to include blocks, plastic cleats, sail-makers hardware, stainless steel rigging gear and more.

Today, you can look at most sailing dinghies and you’ll find products designed and manufactured by Allen, from state-of-the-art dynamic bearing block systems, to humble molded plastic hooks.

Since 2008 Allen Brothers have been marketing and distributing Allen dinghy hardware to customers all over the world. They have a highly technical sales team who are skilled sailors with an in-depth knowledge of the full product range. They work closely with the design team and provide customers with friendly product advice and a fast and efficient processing service. Allen also have a number of independent sponsored sailors from a variety of classes with whom we work to develop new and innovative products.

Sky International have been supplying Allen Brothers products to Hong Kong and China for many years and are experienced in helping customers find the right products to suit their needs.
